La soprano Jerezana Máriam Guerra, acaba los estudios de Arquitectura Efímera en Jerez Fra. y comienza la carrera de Canto en la Escuela Superior de Canto de Madrid donde finaliza con las máximas calificaciones.
A lo largo de su carrera ha sido premiada en diversos concursos nacionales e internacionales, entre ellos el III Certamen Nacional de Lied “Fidela Campiña”, el Concurso Internacional “La Brújula del Canto” y el Concurso OMEGA de Florencia (Italia)… Asimismo, ha recibido reconocimientos como el Premio Camerata Sant Cugat de Canto 2017 y el Premio de la Fundación Clarós. Recientemente, ha sido elegida como una de las 12 protagonistas de la Agenda de Mujeres 2025 “Tributo a las Nuestras” del Ayuntamiento de Jerez, en reconocimiento a su trayectoria artística y su papel inspirador para las generaciones futuras.
Ha recibido clases magistrales de grandes maestros como Jessica Pratt, Natalie Dessay, Roberto Scandiuzzi, el repertorista Manuel Burgueras, Carlos Aragón e Isabel Rey.
Entre los roles más importantes que ha interpretado, podemos destacar: Königin der Nacht “La Flauta Mágica” (Die Zauberflöte) Mozart, en el Palau de la Música Catalana (Barcelona), Auditorio Nacional de Música de Madrid y Sala de Conciertos “El Ateneo” (Madrid). Adina “L’Elisir d’amore” Donizetti, en Riojaforum (Logroño). Musetta “La Bohème” Puccini (Teatro Can Palots, Barcelona). Gilda “Rigoletto” Verdi (Palacio de Congresos de la Línea de la Concepción y Riojaforum (Logroño). Berta “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” Rossini (Teatro Verdi de Pisa, Teatro Coccia de Novara, Teatro Goldoni de Livorno y Teatro del Giglio en Lucca). Micaela “Carmen” Bizet, en el Palau de la Música Catalana (Barcelona). Frasquita “Carmen” Bizet, en el Teatro Villamarta de Jerez de la Frontera, Teatro de la Ópera de Chengdu (China), Teatro Romea en Murcia, Teatro Pedro Muñoz Seca en el Puerto de Santa María, Auditorio de Zaragoza, Teatro Alkazar en Plasencia, Auditorio Municipal Maestro Padilla en Almería, Teatro Capitol en Cieza, Palacio de Congresos de Granada, entre otros. Lucy “The Telephone” Menotti (Teatro Principal de Zamora, Teatro “El Matadero” Madrid) y Claustros de Santo Domingo (Jerez Fra.), Madame Herz “Der Schauspieldirektor” Mozart (Teatro de la Escuela Superior de Canto de Madrid). “Carmina Burana” (Carl Orff); en teatros como: Teatro Villamarta (Jerez de la frontera), Teatro MIRA (Madrid), Teatro Bergidum (León), Palacio de Congresos de Palma de Mallorca y Teatro Principal de Inca, etc.
En Zarzuela y Ópera española, ha interpretado los siguientes roles: La pasión, la ternura, la ilusión “Becqueriana” (María Rodrigo), Eumene “Vendado es amor, no es ciego” (José de Nebra), Ishtar “Gilgamesh” (D. García Gallardo), entre otros.
En Oratorio ha cantado como Solista en el “Réquiem” (Mozart), “Stabat Mater” (Luigi Boccherini), “Stabat Mater” (Pergolesi), Miserere (H. Eslava), “Gloria” de Vivaldi, “Die Schöpfung” (Haydn), etc. Entre los recitales más importantes en los que ha participado podemos destacar: “Concierto de Navidad SIEMENS” junto con el Coro, Orquesta y Ballet Filarmonía, dirigido por el Maestro Pascual Osa, en el Auditorio Nacional de Música de Madrid; “Antología de la Zarzuela” en el Alcázar de Jerez de la Frontera y en la Plaza de la Asunción de la misma localidad, esta última retransmitida en directo por Onda Jerez TV. Concierto Lírico en el Auditorio Mutua Madrileña, “Ópera, Zarzuela y Canciones para soñar” en el Teatro CASYC de Santander; “Grandes momentos de Ópera y Zarzuela” en el Teatro MIRA de Pozuelo de Alarcón, (Madrid); “Concierto Lírico Solidario para Manos Unidas.” en el Teatro Auditorio Ciudad de Alcobendas (Madrid); Recital en el Claustro del Monasterio de Sant Cugat del Vallès, (Barcelona), entre otros.
Spanish soprano Máriam Guerra, born in Jerez de la Frontera, completed her studies in Ephemeral Architecture in her hometown before beginning her vocal training at the Escuela Superior de Canto in Madrid, where she graduated with highest honors.
Throughout her career she has received awards in numerous national and international competitions, including the III Fidela Campiña National Lied Competition, the International “La Brújula del Canto” Competition, and the OMEGA Competition in Florence (Italy). She has also been honored with the Camerata Sant Cugat Singing Prize (2017) and the Clarós Foundation Award. Most recently, she was selected as one of the twelve featured artists in Jerez City Council’s 2025 Women’s Agenda “Tribute to Our Own”, in recognition of her artistic career and her inspirational role for future generations.
She has worked with renowned teachers such as Jessica Pratt, Natalie Dessay, Roberto Scandiuzzi, répétiteur Manuel Burgueras, Carlos Aragón, and Isabel Rey.
Her principal operatic roles include the Queen of the Night (Die Zauberflöte) by Mozart, performed at the Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona, Madrid’s National Auditorium, and El Ateneo Concert Hall; Adina (L’elisir d’amore) by Donizetti at Riojaforum in Logroño; Musetta (La Bohème) by Puccini in Barcelona; Gilda (Rigoletto) by Verdi in La Línea de la Concepción and Logroño; and Berta (Il barbiere di Siviglia) by Rossini in Pisa, Novara, Livorno, and Lucca.
She has also appeared as Micaëla and Frasquita in Carmen by Bizet in numerous theatres across Spain as well as at the Chengdu Opera House (China), Lucy in Menotti’s The Telephone, and Madame Herz in Mozart’s Der Schauspieldirektor. As a soloist in Orff’s Carmina Burana, she has performed in venues including Teatro Villamarta (Jerez), Teatro MIRA (Madrid), Teatro Bergidum (León), the Palma de Mallorca Convention Centre, and Teatro Principal de Inca, among others.
In zarzuela and Spanish opera, her repertoire includes Becqueriana (María Rodrigo), Vendado es amor, no es ciego (José de Nebra), and Gilgamesh (D. García Gallardo).
Her oratorio performances as soloist include Mozart’s Requiem, Pergolesi’s and Boccherini’s Stabat Mater, Eslava’s Miserere, Vivaldi’s Gloria, and Haydn’s Die Schöpfung.
She also maintains an active concert career. Highlights include the Siemens Christmas Concert with the Filarmonía Choir, Orchestra and Ballet under Pascual Osa at Madrid’s National Auditorium; Antología de la Zarzuela at the Alcázar of Jerez and Plaza de la Asunción (broadcast live on Onda Jerez TV); lyric concerts at the Mutua Madrileña Auditorium; Opera, Zarzuela and Songs to Dream at Teatro CASYC in Santander; Great Moments of Opera and Zarzuela at Teatro MIRA in Pozuelo de Alarcón; a charity lyric concert for Manos Unidas in Alcobendas; and a recital at the cloister of the Monastery of Sant Cugat del Vallès, among many others.
