Developed and coordinated by Bahía Clásica Agency, this interdisciplinary production emerges from the encounter between the visual universe of Albert Bonet and the musical language of Servando Valero. At the heart of the project is La Sublime Esperpento: 14 Reels on Portraits by Albert Bonet (2025), a work composed for the Esencia Saxophone Quartet, who will premiere the piece. Structured as a micro-concert of approximately thirty minutes, the work draws inspiration from a curated selection of Bonet’s portraits, translating the symbolic, emotional and visual dimensions of the paintings into sound.

Rather than functioning as a direct musical illustration of the images, the composition reinterprets them through its own temporal and structural language, proposing an expanded approach to portraiture through music.
